Electric Horse Fencing Project near Ballarat

A private horse stud owner engaged Euroka Fencing to design and install an extensive electrified equine fencing solution to streamline their operations and safely contain their breeding herd.

We built two stallion yards (50x40m), two mare and foal paddocks (80x50m), two gelding paddocks (80x50m) and two smaller foal yards (20x20m), complete with numerous metal swing gates.

For the yards and paddocks, we used Waratah’s Electric Flex Rail® in black for the top rail and prefabricated Stocksafe-T® Longlife Blue® 13/122/5 mesh fencing for the main equine fence material. The Flex Rail product is safe, flexible, looks like a traditional timber fence but weathers better – no painting, no splinters, no upkeep!

We also installed a Gallagher S100 Solar Fence Energiser to charge the electric equine fence system using renewable energy. 

We’re happy with the end result! It looks great and works really well to contain these fine creatures.
